Our restoration business consists of working for private individuals, businesses and collectors from Dorset who visit us personally, plus visitors from the adjacent counties of Hampshire, Wiltshire and Devon. During the warmer weather, because of our close proximity to the south coast beaches, a lot of folk bring their pieces in whilst en route to their holiday destinations.
We can also count on many local dealers amongst our clientele as well as national dealers and even some international ones, from as far a field as Australia, USA and Holland. The internet has made the world a very small market place and airmail postage can whisk items to almost anywhere in the world in less that a week. As a result of this we have restored numerous items for 'cyber' customers via our web site.
Most pieces that come into the workshop require to be restored 'invisibly'. However if economy is paramount we can also repair to a high standard employing what is called a "Museum Repair" whereby the piece is cleaned, stabilised and adhered to make it suitable once again to go back on display, naturally this involves less work than the invisible option and is sometimes seen as a good choice. Alternatively we also offer a "Tidy Repair" which is very close to an Invisible Repair but allows the restorer some latitude, Tidy Repairs are often regarded by customers to be aesthetically invisible anyway, but this cannot always be guaranteed and the ramifications are always discussed with the owner.
Insurance Claims
A lot of our work for the private sector is covered by individual's household insurance and we are always pleased to accommodate such requests, and will gladly supply a written estimate with accompanying photographs of the damage to comply with any policy requirement.

As a point of reference we are 5 miles equidistant from the Bournemouth and Poole town centres. Thankfully you do not have to drive through either of these two large towns to reach us.
